Time is not going to stop passing you by. Don't postpone self-care for a better time. The perfect moment you're looking for may never come. The right moment is once you've satisfied what is necessary on your to-do list. Sometimes there isn't any time and you have to struggle or stretch time to fit it in. Doing for self is of the upmost importance in a well-balanced life. Consider in-flight instructions from your flight attendant. You are always urged to put on your own oxygen mask before assisting anyone else. This is an example of self-care being a necessity. Without applying your own mask, you may save another life at the risk of your own. When self-care is prioritized, your well-being is secured and you may be of greater use to others going forward.
There are endless options for practicing self-care. It is entirely up to you gratify self in whichever manner grants you satisfaction, as long as it doesn't impede the well-being of others. Personally, I find hot, long showers in the dark offer fast-acting peace and serenity. What are some other self-care practices?
