I have no problem admitting that I talk to myself. You should try it. I have very deep, coming to consciousness moments regarding the various aspects of my life. Personally, the shower is my chonicles of narnia. That time away from reality allows me to discover what is beyond my mundane and typical awareness. In my magical portal, I'm healing myself by exploring my shortcomings and anything that may plague me. I'm replaying conversations I've had with peers and loved ones. I'm reassessing my stances in past arguments. Ultimately, I am stepping outside of myself and convening as though an objective party is having a reflective discussion with me.
If you are not regularly communicating with yourself, I urge you to start. It does not have to be in the manner which I do. Find whichever setting you are most comfortable in and make a point to critically evaluate yourelf. Every conversation may not be equally insightful. Understand that you are imperfect, improving, and actively putting forward the necessary effort to become the best version of yourself.
